Q. A.	Where are you located? Do you have a Store? I am located in Seattle, WA, USA. I do not have a physical store. I sell online (this website), at Fairs and Festivals (mostly in Washington and Oregon), and in the Winter I have a stall at the Pike Place Market in downtown Seattle (where I generally only sell my Hats). Where and When to find me is listed on the "Fairs and Festivals" page of this website.
Q. A.	What Type Of Payment options are available? - Debit, Credit, or instant money transfer from checking accounts through Paypal(No paypal account required) - Credit/debit card by Phone - Money Order (E-mail me with your Order and request the address to send the money order to)Make money orders payable to: Art Of Wings
Q. A.	Do you ship outside the US? Yes, I ship to many countries outside the United States, although online orders will not reflect international shipping rates so you will need to pay any extra charge before the item is shipped. You will be sent a Paypal money request for the extra amount of shipping needed. Please note that there will most likely be a customs fee charged by the shipping company when your product is delivered. Your order may take a while to get to you , between 10days and 6 weeks, depending on customs in the country you live in.
Q. A.	How long until I receive my Items? In most cases you items will arrive within 2-3 weeks of the date of purchase, in many cases sooner. In busy Months It may take 2-3 weeks before your items are packaged. Then up to two weeks more to be shipped. If you need your items by a certain date please let me know so I can expedite your order, most of the time this will not cost extra.
Q. A.	Can I get a pair of wings in a different color or customized? Yes any wings can be customized* to your specifications. Just fill out the Custom Wings form in as much detail as possible and I will get back to you.
Q. A.	Do you Customize Hats? Yes you can get a custom hat for $5.00 extra. Simply look at the bottom of the Furry Hats page to see examples of the fabrics and furs available and E-mail me with your choices. If you want something other than what's pictured let me know and I'll tell you if I can make it for you.

Who are you? Do you make your products?

Hi, my name is Meghann Frickberg and I have been making wings for over 10 years, professionally for over 5 years. My roots are in the fine arts, I spent most of my childhood and teens drawing, painting and sculpting; at home and at art classes. Instead of pursuing Art college after high school I decided to dive into the arts headfirst and try to make a career of it on my own. I worked odd jobs for a couple years while trying to find my niche in the art world. Then, as things do, everything seemed to fall into place and now, wings are my full time job. I feel very blessed to be able to make a living from my passion. It's great to be able to share it with others and bring happiness into their lives. I hope you enjoy owning my art as much as I enjoy making it. - Meghann

How do I care for my wings?

o If your wings get wet, simply let them dry out. If they have feathers it is best to blow them dry with a hair dryer while they are still wet.

o The edges of your wings have a protective coating on them to prevent knicks and holes. If you do see a small hole forming simply cover the affected area with a thin layer fabric glue (available at your local craft store like Joann Fabrics or Michael's), if it is too thick it may leave a milky appearance. This should stop the hole in its tracks and keep new ones from forming. You can also apply it to any areas that are more susceptible to damage like the tips to prevent any future damage (especially if you wear your wings often) (I like to use a brush to apply glue)

o If your wings are white and you want them to stay that way, it is very important to keep them clean and store them in a clean large plastic bag(unused garbage bags work well).

o Steaming your wings will often clear any wrinkles, waves, or dents in the fabric.

Elastic is sized to fit the average adult. You can shorten the elastic to fit a smaller adult or child by tying off the amount needed on both straps.

Sizing Elastic to Fit: To find out how much needs to be tied off:

o Try on the wings

o Pinch the extra elastic on both sides equally until the wings fit comfortably. The pinched amount should be equal on both sides.

o Make a note of how much extra elastic was pinched.

o Take the wings off

o Pinch the same amount of elastic close to the lower back of the wings and tie a knot on each elastic, this way the knot you’ve tied is hidden when wearing the wings.

Can I bend the wings?

Yes, you can Position the wings differently. You can make them stick out from your back more by bending from the base of each wing section away from the body. be careful though. Do not try to change the overall shape of each wing section because rippling of the fabric can occur.

For Azarelle Wings: Hold at Weld firmly, while bending. For best look- Bend top antennae and top wing section out a little. And Bend bottom smaller wing section out a lot, to a 45 degree angle

How do you make your wings?/Can you tell me exactly how to make wings like yours?

Lots of Time, effort, Inspiration, patience and glitter!/ Sorry, I cannot reveal my secrets. It's taken me a long time, a lot of patience, trials and errors to get where I am today.

Basic Construction: Wire frame, Nylon Fabric, Paint, glitter, etc...

Certain items on the website may become unavailable because some items are one of a kind.
Wings are Available with black or white elastic shoulder straps. If you need smaller straps you can just tie them to a smaller fit.
Colors can be customized and embellishments added to suit. Such as holes and stitches in any pictured wing. Just ask. This may have an added cost.

What is your return policy?

Due to the costume nature of the products on this site(most only wear items once or twice), Returns can be made for store credit only. Items must be in new and unworn/unused condition. Requests must be made within 2 days of receiving item, E-mail is preferred. No items may be returned wthout first sending a written request and receiving authorization. Item must be in excellent, unworn, and unused condition. Shipping charges are non-refundable. All shipping charges are your responsibility for both returning item and shipment of new item. No returns/exchanges on custom orders or Light-up Wings.
If your item arrives damaged you must file a claim with the shipping carrier. USPS In the event of an exchange the customer is responsible for both return shipping costs of the purchased item and the re-shipment of the new item to the customer.

Please do not randomly send merchandise back to us. Any parcels that come in without authorization will be discarded and you will not be refunded.

Not suitable for children under 3 years and adult supervision is required. Our products are not designed to be handled by children under the age of 12 years.
Item received may be different in color due to your computer dpi/resolution configuration.
Decorations such as: flowers, ribbons, gems, jewels, crystals, rhinestones, etc, will vary depending on availability.
According to new CPSIA rules and regulations, our items are no longer intended for children 12 years and under.

Privacy Statement

We respect each site visitor's right to personal privacy. To that end FArt of Wings will never willfully disclose personally identifiable information about its users to any third party without first receiving that customer's permission, unless necessary for legal reasons.

We require information from the user on our order form. A user must provide contact information such as name, email and shipping address. We prefer our customers payment via Pay Pal because by this method we do not have any contact with your credit card payments and our system will not keep any of that information with us.

If we decide to change our privacy policy, we will post those changes to this privacy statement.

Hello Meghann, I got the wings and I am very pleased with them. You did a great job! The colors came out so nice. I can't wait to wear them. Everyone in the family keeps trying them on! Last year about this time my dad,Ted, went to Seatlle from Colorado for a RAC meeting. While hitting the pavment he came across your store. He purchased a Cute Pouf Hat for me. I just wanted to let you know that I absulutely ADORE it. I eat, sleep, and travel EVERYWHERE with it (literally I drove all the way to Flordia with it). Everyone comments me and ask where I got it.
